Audio Visual and Virtual Reality TECHNICIAN
(Fixed Term Contract)
MERITS is a new, purpose built, co-working incubation and accelerator space in Naas, County Kildare for Entrepreneurs and Start Up companies in the digital, technology and internationally traded services sectors. MERITS is now seeking to appoint a TECHNICIAN to assist with setting up, maintaining and operating a range of state-of-the-art Audio Visual, Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) equipment throughout the building. The role will also involve training MERITS’ client companies on the use of such equipment and working with local businesses to help expose them to the power of AR/VR in transforming their business.
For this role, we are seeking a local person with infectious enthusiasm and boundless energy who wants to work in a fast-paced environment assisting StartUps and SMEs! This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is immersed in the relevant technology and who is passionate about the benefits that a strong supporting environment can bring to entrepreneurs and StartUps.
Requirements:
- A passion and enthusiasm for Digital Technologies, particularly AR/VR.
- Familiarity with AV equipment installation and operation (video wall, sound system, presentation systems)
- Experience and familiarity with related-professional softwares, a wide range of virtual/ augmented reality devices, AR/VR frameworks, specialist equipments.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of the ‘Potential of Digital Technologies’ in driving Digital Transformation in the SME sector.
- Flexible and willing to learn new technologies and implement new ideas and solutions to integrate in our architecture.
- Desirable: Formal qualification in AV / Digital Technologies.
Remuneration:
The annual salary will be commensurate with the successful candidates experience, in the range of €35,000 – €45,000.
